How can we make people feel more connected to their work teams through technology?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I recently read that 60% of employees feel less connected to their work teams since working remotely.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know several people who have never attended work in person<\/strong>, and even their job interviews were 100% remote. This was unimaginable before! In fact, since COVID-19, we have had to change some paradigms regarding teleworking, as Jared Spataro, director of Microsoft 365, says: \u201cWe have to stop thinking of work as a place and start thinking about how to maintain culture, connect employees, and harness human ingenuity in a hybrid world.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Given these changes, the need arises to seek solutions that integrate company employees with their work teams and that also provide well-being to the person.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those of us who have worked remotely know that sometimes at noon we are having lunch with our computer in front of us, schedules are no longer so strict, and there are days when we dedicate more hours to our work activities, thus unbalancing our social, family, or personal activities without realizing it, neglecting our well-being. To face this new challenge, there is a solution that can significantly help us improve this balance; however, many times we have it within our reach and do not know that we have it. This solution is an entire platform called Microsoft Viva<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some Microsoft 365<\/strong> users have received emails with the subject \u201cYour daily briefing\u201d<\/em><\/strong> in which our Outlook \u00abknows\u00bb <\/em>the activities that we must carry out and indicates what tasks we have pending. This is thanks to Microsoft Viva<\/strong>, which summarizes documents, emails, and meetings so that Microsoft 365 users can find what is most important for the next day. This is impressive. This small reminder has helped me send proposals on time that I could have forgotten, attend meetings punctually, remember simple things like writing this Blog<\/em>, and other activities that I planned throughout my week.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Microsoft Viva?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It is an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights from the workflow, using AI (Artificial Intelligence)<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This platform is divided into:<\/span><\/p>\n

Viva Learning<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It is a training center, uniting learning with the workflow, which allows a culture of growth and development for the organization’s employees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viva Insights<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Viva helps people and companies thrive with recommendations to improve productivity and well-being. It shows you graphs of the time spent on different activities, time worked outside of working hours, and other data that help us seek our personal and work balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viva Topics<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It automatically organizes content and experience throughout the organization to make it easier to find information. This is like a Wikipedia within the organization, making it a very important tool. Currently, employees spend up to 7 weeks a year searching for or recreating information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viva Connections<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It brings together news of interest, conversations, and resources in the applications and devices you use every day. Viva Connections<\/strong> is included in all Microsoft 365 plans with SharePoint Online.<\/span><\/p>\n

In short, we are at a point of no return, in which the flexibility of new ways of working will be fundamental. Therefore, we must provide employees with tools that allow them to find a balance between their work connection and personal life. We are in an era in which the technology to be used must be more human, that it works in search of our well-being and maintaining the productivity of our organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n
