Do you remember when WhatsApp didn’t exist? We had to pay for the SMS messages we sent, we couldn’t send images, audios, among other functions that are currently facilitated through this app.
When you use a physical switchboard in the office, it’s almost like going back to the time when we didn’t use WhatsApp. Currently, there are several ways to reduce costs in technology, among which we have managed to reduce costs more quickly is in the use of cloud-based telephone switchboards and switching from Gsuite as an email provider to Microsoft 365 (I’ll leave the latter for my next Blog).
I recently presented a communications savings plan to one of my clients, in which their monthly billing consumption savings was 78% (Yes, 78% less in their telephone billing!), it seems incredible, but it is true and we have not yet included the decrease in electricity, Internet and other consumption.
But… Why so much savings?
When you use a physical telephone switchboard in your office, you must be aware of some factors that generate costs and expenses such as:
· The communication provider to which you connect it (the inflexible contract)
· Equipment maintenance (technical issue)
· On-site configurations (more technical issues)
· Electricity consumption, since you generally even require a battery (another contract)
· Symmetrical Internet connection if it is an on-site IP switchboard (another contract and very expensive)
· The equipment you use, generally desktop phones (another technical matter)
When you use a 100% cloud-based telephone switchboard, you only have to think about this:
· The switchboard to install. I recommend and install 3CX
· The communication provider, unlike the previous one, you choose the ones you want in the countries you want, therefore, you have more possibilities to choose your rates and you can also have lines anywhere in the world and call at local cost
· The Internet connection you require is simple, if you can watch a YouTube video without it being interrupted, you are ready to make calls everywhere
· To call you can use your cell phone, a desk phone, your computer or all three if you wish.
