Do you remember when WhatsApp didn’t exist? We had to pay for SMS messages we sent, we couldn’t send images, audio, among other functions that are currently facilitated through this app.
When you use a physical system in the office, it’s almost like going back to the time when we didn’t use WhatsApp. Currently, there are several ways to reduce technology costs, among which we have managed to reduce costs more quickly is in the use of cloud-based phone systems and changing from Gsuite as an email provider to Microsoft 365 (I’ll leave this last one for my next Blog).
Recently, I presented a communications savings plan to one of my clients, in which their monthly billing consumption savings was 78% (Yes, 78% less on their phone bill!), it seems incredible, but it’s true and we haven’t even included the decrease in electricity consumption, Internet, and others.
But… Why so much savings?
When you use a physical phone system in your office, you must be aware of some factors that generate costs and expenses such as:
· The communication provider you connect it to (the inflexible contract)
· Equipment maintenance (technical issue)
· On-site configurations (more technical issues)
· Electrical consumption, as you generally even need a battery (another contract)
· Symmetric Internet connection if it’s an on-site IP system (another contract and quite expensive)
· The equipment it uses, generally desktop phones (another technical matter)
When you use a 100% cloud-based phone system, you only need to think about this:
· The system to install. I recommend and install 3CX
· The communication provider, unlike the previous one, you choose the ones you want in the countries you want, therefore, you have more possibilities to choose your rates and you can also have lines anywhere in the world and call at local cost
· The Internet connection you need is simple, if you can watch a Youtube video without interruption, you’re ready to make calls everywhere
· To call you can use your cell phone, a desktop phone, your computer or all three if you wish.
